Agenda 21, the South, and then the rest!

by Al Benson Jr.

Awhile back I talked to a man that lives just down the street from us. He has bought some property out on the bayou and when he retires he'd like to move out there, put up a little house, and do some fishing. I wish him well, but if the United Nations, our federal government, and their economic "planners" have their way (and unfortunately they usually do) it will never happen.

Their plan for this man, and for the rest of us, is not that any of us own any private property anywhere out in the country or anywhere else no matter how much we might like to. The glorious plan for all of us, unless we wake up, is a little two-by-twice apartment in some big city mega-complex along with everybody else where we are limited to traveling within the confines of the city we have been assigned to. No automobiles or pickup trucks any further than the city they assign us to because if we do anymore than that it strains the "economic sustainability" of our state, the country, and the entire world--and so we must be severely limited in everything we do (and say and think) for the environmental "good" of the entire world. If you are tempted to do a little reading (before it becomes outlawed)  check out some of the sources where you see this term "economic sustainability" on the Internet or in the "news" media and you will be looking at sources, people, articles, that have been strongly influenced by the United Nations Agenda 21 program.

You say you've never heard of that? I'm not surprised. It's not exactly a priority for the "news" people unless they are encouraging different states, cities, etc. to sign up and become part of it. Other than that they seem to "know nothing" about it. In an article this size there is no way I can give you everything. The best I can do is to try to hit a few high spots for you that will, hopefully, encourage you to start checking out just what Agenda 21 is on your own.

I started assembling a file of articles on this United Nations aberration  awhile back. Anything having to do with the United Nations concerns me because this is the group that is supposed to lead the way into the glories of One World Government for the planet. If you want to find out where the United Nations is going check out the background of a man named Alger Hiss on the Internet.

I found a very informative article on http://www.thegoodmanchronicle.com from back on March 24, 2014 which said, in part, that: "Agenda 21 is based around the idea that a world-wide system must be set up, to save the planet from humans, which are destroying it with their cars, air conditioners, refrigerators, and all around high standards of living. The planners of the Agenda want to have complete control over all the resources in the world, in order to implement 'sustainable' or 'smart' growth, which includes the reduction of the standard of living of people in first world countries. For this plan to work, people must be made to believe that a reduction of their standard of living is good, and is being done to protect the environment, preserve resources for the next generation, reduce carbon emission, prevent climate change, and other wonderful sounding goals...To achieve the environmental goals of Agenda 21, one of the actions that needs to be taken by governments throughout the world, is to move people off of their privately-owned land and into special collectively-owned communities..." Any of this sound familiar to any of you? It's little more than an updated version of the "workers paradise" they had in the Soviet Union before Communism supposedly fell--and it's all a pile of bovine fertilizer!

No private property, no land, especially no guns, (you won't need them in the city anyway) and no freedom to travel. Your car or pickup truck will have been "confiscated" for the public good because you will have no freedom to travel, actually no freedom for much of anything. Oh yes, you will be totally free to obey all the UN and federal edicts--or else! What a Kountry!!!

The article quoted above is not the only sources for this information. Writer Henry Lamb says in Agenda 21--What Is It? How Did It Get Here  that: "(Agenda 21) is a set of policy recommendations designed to reorganize global society around the principles of environmental protection, social equity, and what is called 'sustainable' economic development. At the heart of the concept of sustainable development, is the assumption that government must manage society to ensure that human activity conforms to these principles." Doesn't that sound warm and fuzzy?

Even an article in The Blaze, which I don't always agree with by any means, got this one right.  It noted that support for Agenda 21 didn't come only from the United Nations.  It also came from "wealthy donors like billionaire George Soros, whose Open Society gave ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) a $2.1 million grant in 1997 to support its local Agenda 21 Project. The financing was used to promote the project in the United States." You have to wonder how much of the UN propaganda is promoted in public schools in this country. Well, actually you don't. Just look up UNESCO on the Internet and see what they do regarding public schools in this country. You won't be pleased. I can recall seeing tons of pro-Un stuff in public school when I went, and that is a long, long time ago. I have no sane reason to suppose  the volume of it has slowed given the Marxist predilections  of our federal government.

So what does this mean for the South (and for the country as a whole for that matter)? It means that if this monstrosity ever gets enacted my friend up the street can kiss his retirement home out on the bayou goodbye. He will be informed by some federal commissar that he will be much better off living in a miniature apartment in the local ghetto with the rest of the proles. His pickup truck?  He won't need it, he won't be going much of anyplace anymore. His guns? Forget those! The entire country will be one huge "gun free zone" except for the feds and their friends in the underworld. Fishing? Don't make me laugh! Where will he fish--in the gutters of the streets in his ghetto after we've had a toad strangler? His private property out on the bayou will have been "awarded" to some apparatchik from the UN as a reward for keeping ordinary folks away from it.

Folks, maybe you ought to consider checking out some of the stuff on the Internet regarding Agenda 21. A couple good sites to start off with are www.whatisagenda21.net  and  www.thenewamerican.com  especially an article by Alex Newman back in May, 2013. Oh you will find some sites out there that will "laud and magnify" the United Nations and all it seeks to do,but if you are discerning you will be able to come up with some of those that tell you the real truth. And as for your Confederate flags and your "Don't Tread on Me" flags--forget those. There will be no place in the local ghetto for such things. In fact if people sit around long enough and work hard at doing nothing, there won't even be a faint memory of such things anymore--and everyone will learn to love Big Brother, whether he lives in Washington or New York, or both.

Dumbing Them Down For the New World Order

by Al Benson Jr.

Today I watched a You Tube video where a young lady interviewed several college students about basic history questions that most of us knew the answers to when we were in the fifth grade--and most of these college students didn't have a clue, not the remotest clue as to the correct answers. And these were kids that were studying business administration and other like subjects. They weren't just there for the ride, or to find a husband or wife. They were going into professional careers when they got out of school (if there are any professions left when our current regime gets through).

The first question the interviewer asked was "Who won the Civil War?" Would you believe nine out of ten of them got that wrong. One young lady and one young black man both said "the South." One other one said "America." The rest just had no answer whatever. Not a clue! One young lady said "the North." So out of about ten students, one got it right.

Another question she asked was when the American Revolution ended. One kid questioningly  said "1977?" But she wasn't sure. Another one said "1644." Again, for the rest, not the remotest clue.

She then asked them who was the current vice-president of the United States. One out of the bunch answered "Joe Biden" but the rest were totally dumbfounded. This is the generation that is supposed to have voted overwhelmingly for Obama in the last election. Now I will admit that Joe Biden, outside of sticking his foot in his mouth, is not the most charismatic vice-president this country has ever had, but at least the kids ought to know his name--shouldn't they?

If this is what you get from college kids it does make you wonder what their history teachers were doing during  their high school years. I guess lots of history teachers were taking their paychecks under false pretenses. But, then, understanding the history of the public school system, that should be no surprise. Now I don't doubt that there are probably history teachers in public schools that do try to teach history, I've known a couple. But then you have to ask what the public school history teachers are being taught. Obviously none of the kids in these interviews ever had any dedicated history teachers for a history class.

One interesting point, though, toward the end of the interview the young lady conducting it asked them several questions about the current pop culture, like who was Brad Pitts current wife--and they all, without exception, knew the answer to that one.

Folks, this is the next generation that will be called on the run the country, or rather they will be called on to vote for the One World Government crowd that will run the country--and they will do that, because they don't know upside down from inside out. You can't tell me these kids are that dumb accidentally. There has to be design to their ignorance.

Unless we can, somehow, raise up enough Christian and home schooled kids to begin to counter this planned ignorance then we face, at least for the foreseeable future, a pretty bleak outlook. All the more reason for concerned parents to seriously start looking at options other than public schools for educating their kids. Parents, especially Christian parents, really need to start checking out these other options--and they are out there if you are willing to take the time and trouble to check them out.

One Major Southern Problem--Public Schools, Part 2

by Al Benson Jr.

Horace Mann received much support in his endeavor to kill the influence of Christian education from people like Robert Owen, the British socialist who came to this country and founded the socialist colony at New Harmony, Indiana in the late 1820s. Owen was the man whose socialist scheme in Indiana "lighted up (Abraham) Lincoln's heart" according to Lincoln's biographer, Carl Sandburg, himself a socialist.

So the foundation of public education in this country was clearly anti-Christian--and if that was the case in the beginning, then how, pray tell, do you get it back to the "good old days?" There never were any "good old days" in public education. All there were, if you perceive events correctly, were times years ago when the anti-Christianity and socialism were a little less evident than now, but they were still there. If the root of the tree is rotten, you can't improve it by lopping off a few small branches and labeling it "school reform." Unfortunately, most Christians in the last 160 years have never figured that out.

After the public school system had operated in Yankeeland for about thirty years, one generation, along came the War of Northern Aggression.  When the shooting part of that war was over, then what is euphemistically called "reconstruction" was instituted, starting in the South--and guess what came South with the Carpetbaggers? You got it--the public school system, complete with Yankee school teachers and textbooks, all designed to show the benighted South the path of true salvation--not through Jesus, but through the State. Up until that point, you hadn't had a public school "system" in the South. Here and there you had parentally-controlled local schools, and that was it because that was enough. As part of the Yankee/Marxist "reconstruction" you got the public school system you have all come to know and love.

I have one question no one has yet been able to answer. Most Southern folks I know that know anything at all, hate "reconstruction" and justifiably so. I hate it and what it did to the South, and I was born in the North. If you hate "reconstruction" why do you love public schools? They are a major part of what you profess to hate. Have folks in the South finally been brainwashed to the point where they now love "Big Brother?"

You will never even begin to preserve your culture, history, and heritage in any lasting way until you start to realize what the public school brainlaundering has done to you and your kids and you start taking them out of public schools and either putting them in Christian schools or teaching them at home. It's hard for folks to grasp this because they were brainwashed in the exact same way their kids are being brainwashed now.

However, we need to ask the Lord's help so we can begin to think outside the public school box. I would exhort folks to think about this and to ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they seek to deal with what they need to do regarding the education of their children.

I recently read an article that asked the question, "Are Christians who put their kids in public schools committing a sin?" The upshot of the article was that, if they are unaware of what the public schools are all about, then, no, they are not, but if they have some knowledge of what the public schools are and still choose to leave their kids in them, then they have a major problem. There are many instances where parents have no other alternative. But there are also many instances where parents do have the possibility of Christian alternatives and they just don't bother, or worse, yet, because their kids are in public school, they stand up and defend public education. Again, they don't know the history of public education in this country, or they don't want to know it. Either way they have a problem they will, at some point, have to deal with.

Either way, the South has to deal with the public education problem. If it does not, it will cease to exist as a viable entity and a culture that had a Christian worldview will be lost forever.
