Well, looks like we may have another government shutdown, compliments of the socialist members of Congress who are still cheeky enough to refer to themselves as Democrats. But then, I guess you can still fool some of the people some of the time, though it is getting a bit more difficult.
Seems to me I recall that "honest" Chucky Schumer moaned back in 2013 what a tragedy a government shutdown would be. But now he seems to be okay with it. All depends on whose ox is being gored doesn't it?
The reason for this potential shutdown seems to be the DACA program for letting lots of younger illegals stay in this country. The Republicans claim to want to get rid of some of them while the Demoncrats want to keep them all and import even more. After all, importing lots of folks that won't assimilate is a great culture changer and that's what this is really all about.
But I submit that, right now, the Demoncrats have an even bigger concern than the DACA program. They are concerned about the ongoing revelations starting to be brought out about the Uranium One sale to Russia and the Clinton Foundation and their ongoing (and probably illegal) efforts to undue the results of the 2016 election.
On January 19th an article by Kyle Becker appeared on http://www.bizpacreview.com the headline for which was 'Worse Than Watergate': Republicans uncover FISA memo they say changes everything on Trump investigation.
Becker writes: "If a FISA document uncovered by House investigators proves to be as bad as all appearances, the prior administration will stand accused of abusing federal law enforcement and intelligence assets in order to sabotage Donald Trump's presidential campaign." According to Rep. Ron DeSantis: "The facts contained in this memo are jaw-dropping and demand full transparency There is no higher priority than the release of this information to preserve our democracy." Outside of this supposedly being a republic instead of a democracy, I would agree with DeSantis. Other congressmen have said the same thing. Rep. Jim Jordan says "It is so alarming the American people have to see this," And Rep. Matt Gaetz states" "I think this will not end just with firings. I believe there are people who will go to jail." After all the crap the Klintons and their cronies have pulled on America over the decades, let us fervently pray that will be the case. But I still won't believe it until I see it.
Right now, however, it would seem that this is one situation the Demoncrats would like to see go away. They are in deep do-do up to their necks and they'd rather the public not be aware of all this for any prolonged period of time. Might hurt their chances to steal the 2018 mid-term elections. So a government shutdown right now would do them a world of good--and if it lasted long enough they could work to distract the voting public with more of Trump's "Russian collusion-delusion." After all, they tried to steal the 2016 election, which is what some of this is all about, so why wouldn't they continue this year in their usual habits? Problem is, you have some Republicans that are more than willing to help them (collude with them) in such an effort. The Deep State in both parties, and beyond, wants to put Trump down. He won't play the game by their Establishment rules (helping to keep America and its people last) so he's got to go.
So in light of whatever new revelations the honest Republicans in Congress want to put out there for the public, it would be much better for the devious Demoncrats right now to have a government shutdown to give folks a chance to forget about what absolute scumbags they have been.
If you want to keep up on this situation go to Fox News and InfoWars.com because these are two places you will get the truth about this situation. Forget about the mainstream media. They have lied about so much to so many for so long that they would not recognize the truth if they met it in their soup at supper!

The Deadly (for the country) Art of Compromise
Our two observers of the political scene give us a little more of what they have seen in action for decades--especially in the vaunted "Halls of Congress." Read their biting commentary and see if you have noted the same things they have.

The Deadly (for the country) Art of Compromise
By Schwartz and Viscount
How often have we heard the familiar dictum in regard to Congress about "reaching across the isle?" Or the one about "working together in the spirit of compromise?" This all sounds so good to people who fail to understand what it really means. Well, we are here to tell you what it means in this country, and in "our" Congress; and it behooves us to say that it doesn't work they way you think it does, or that you have been told it does.
According to our Mainstream Media, (those professional prevaricators who still insist that we call them journalists), it is those conservative and patriotic legislators on the right that need to do the reaching across the isle. Should they fail to do that, then the media will label them as racists, homophobes, Islamaphonbes, chauvinists, or whatever other libelous label comes into their febrile brains.
The legislators over on the left do precious little reaching across, as their expectation is that those nasty people over on the right should do all the reaching--in the name of bipartisanship and compromise. If those on the right display a willingness to compromise, then they will end up compromising whatever truth they have with the leftist lies on the other side of the isle, and thereby create a "synthesis" of truth and lies, which amounts to watered-down truth at best. No matter what you have been told, that's the way it works in Washington these days.
In other words the "spirit of compromise" has become a One Way, Dead End Street for naive conservatives who fail to recognize that they must sacrifice their truth to accept leftist lies. The leftist motto in Congress, as in most other places is "Be reasonable and do it MY way." Those on the left with a socialist worldview, do not compromise their agendas or beliefs in order to get along with others. Rather they expect those others to compromise their beliefs in order to get along with the leftists. And, although the leftists may appear to take a step back, in the "spirit of compromise" it is always so they can arrange to take TWO steps forward. Liberal and leftist policies always promote their adversaries giving in at some crucial point(s) and if their adversaries do not realize that they will, inevitably, come out on the short end of the stick. This has been happening for decades.
The left gets what it wants, or almost all of it, while the right compromises its standards and principles, in the name of "reaching across the isle." And while the right reaches across the isle, the left laughs all the way to the bank. And the left has learned how to do this as a psychological operation. It usually works because their opposition has no concept of what is really going on or how they are being "played for suckers."
Or, as Saul Alinsky said in his Twelve Rules for Radicals in Rule 8 "Keep the pressure on, Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. *Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never give the reeling organization (or opposition Congressmen) (emphasis ours) a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize)." And don't think there are not people in Congress that are not familiar with and use this strategy.
Ephesians 2:10 in the Holy Scriptures says: "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do Good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Reaching "across the isle" and compromising the truth is not a "good work." Truth should not be compromised with those who serve Satan, the Father of Lies. This applies not only in Congress, but everywhere else also.
Reaching "across the Isle"almost never involves two sincere people or groups coming together to honestly try to work out their differences. It almost always involves the sacrificing of truth, and the acceptance of untruth, in the Halls of Congress every bit as much as anywhere else. Something to think about.

Being Slowly Poisoned At The Local Supermarket?
by Al Benson Jr.
It would seem that our Ruling Elite, our "Shadow Government," has decreed that we are, at least most of us, to perish from poisoning. And this poisoning will take many forms. We are being poisoned politically by a government and its hired "news" media who tell us virtually nothing that is really going on--hence we have no real knowledge to base anything on as to what is really happening in the country. We are being educationally poisoned by a government "education" system and its attendant programs (Commie Core and others) where our kids, even a the lower age levels, are being taught more about sex and socialism than they are about math, literature, and real history.
And we are being slowly poisoned at the local supermarket by much of what is for sale there that passes for food. How many of you remember that old Charleton Heston movie from the early 1970s Solyent Green? So you think the Food and Drug Administration in Washington will protect you when it comes to food? Don't kid yourself. They are much more concerned with prosecuting those who wish to use raw milk than they are about what you eat--and that's not by accident.
I have a good friend who studies up on proper diet, healthy food, natural vitamins, and such. Years ago he told me about a sticky little substance called High Fructose Corn Syrup. He said you'd find it in an awful lot of different foods. He said that its main function was to make people hungry, so they'd eat more, and supposedly the "more" they ate would also contain high fructose corn syrup, so it was a self-perpetuating cycle. After talking to him I started checking the ingredients in much of what was for sale in our local markets. Sure enough, high fructose corn syrup was in all kinds of stuff--from cereal to salad dressing to soda, from bread, buns, jelly and pancake syrup to you name it.
So, when my son and I went shopping we started avoiding all the stuff with high fructose corn syrup in it. If there was bread or jelly or peanut butter that didn't have that ingredient in it, then that's what we bought. And apparently other folks had started doing the same thing, because pretty soon we started seeing products on the shelves that plainly stated: no high fructose corn syrup. Interestingly enough, many companies made, and still make, two different varieties of their products--one that omitted the high fructose corn syrup, and one that didn't. The one that left that ingredient out was for those who were alert enough to look for it, and the other was for those who were not yet awake as to what was in what they were eating. But at least some people are looking now and that's encouraging.
We've noticed that it gets harder and harder to buy decent bread anymore, not because of the poor quality of the wheat, but because of what they do to it before its harvested. I recently got an email from a friend that dealt with this. It stated, in part: "According to Dr. Stephanie Seneff of MIT who has studied the issue in depth and who I recently saw present on the subject at a nutritional conference in Indianapolis, desiccating non-organic wheat crops with glyohosate just before harvest came into vogue in the late 1990s with the result that most of the non-organic wheat in the United States is now contaminated with it." Doesn't sound overly encouraging does it? Even Wikipedia had commentary on this glyphosate. It said, in part: "Glyphosate was quickly adopted by farmers, even moreso when Monsanto introduced glyphosate resistant crops, enabling farmers to kill weeds without killing their crops...While glyphosate and formulations such as Roundup have been approved by regulatory bodies worldwide and are widely used, concerns about their effects on humans and the environment persist...Some crops have been genetically engineered to be resistant to glyphosate (i.e. Roundup Ready, also created by Monsanto."
So now, if you are going to use this stuff on your wheat before harvest and have it not kill the wheat, your wheat already has to have been "genetically modified." Do you suppose that fact, plus what they spray on it, has any effect on the wheat in the bread or cereal you eat? Naw, of course not--after all, the "regulatory bodies" say it doesn't, which, based on this government's record of veracity, would tend to make me doubt very much anything they tell us anymore. If they insist this stuff won't hurt us, then I'd start looking around for some produce this stuff wasn't used on--like organic food.
I've also noticed of late that there are now foods in the market that specify "Non-GMO" which means they are letting you know that this is real food and not some hybridization of ...whatever. We are on a fixed income and so we can't buy totally organic food, but where we can afford it we do and we look for things labeled Non-GMO. We search for foods with minimal ingredients and minimal processing. Food with a whole big list of ingredients whose names I can't begin to pronounce is a tip-off that we want something with less additives and, hopefully, a little more food value.
There is obviously a lot on this subject that I can't begin to get into here. There are pages and pages on the Internet pertaining to this. But the upshot of it is--that between big government, big agri-business, and big regulatory laxness (in certain cases) it is all yet one more phase of the psychological war being conducted on the American public. We are slowly being poisoned--physically, morally, and spiritually--where they can get away with it. In spite of what they try to feed us, we have got to start waking up, not only to the political (and spiritual) warfare emanating from Washington, but also to the agricultural part of that war that is being declared on us via our weekly grocery shopping. What we ultimately end up eating may well be a determining factor in our ability to fight back.
